Effect Of Flame-retardants Magnesium Hydroxide Was Studied.

Magnesium Hydroxide can be used as a flame retardant for the wood fibre composites at a lower loading.

Magnesium hydroxide is well known for its superior endothermic flame retarding reaction compared to ones of any boron compounds and hence replacement of a part of it with boric acid or zinc borate results in a reduction of the retarding effect of magnesium hydroxide.

Magnesium hydroxide as an inorganic additive flame retardant. After heated decomposes and releases moisture while absorbing heat, reducing the temperature of the combustion surface, thereby inhibiting polymer decomposition reaction, produce magnesium oxide, magnesium oxide is refractory,   can help improve resistance to synthetic materials fireworks.
